In 2007 Cynthia Howe and Chelsi Blackwell, mother and daughter, opened Fifty Seven Boutique. They moved back to Whitefish from Los Angeles after the death of husband and father Steve Howe in an automobile accident. Chelsi was pursuing a music career at the time. They had enjoyed all the little boutiques that the LA area offered and decided that Whitefish was ready for expansion in the fashion industry and thus Fifty Seven Boutique was born. The store name was inspired by Steve’s professional baseball career, 57 was his jersey number.
Chelsi resides in Whitefish with her husband Cole Blackwell of Blackwell Enterprises and her three children Kaydence, Reese and Royer.
Cyndi lives in the Whitefish area with husband John Hale and son Brian Howe.
