Slightly Alabama is a brand of leather goods founded in 2013 by Dana Glaeser. Operating as a small atelier, they produce limited quantity leather goods. All products are designed and manufactured in Ridgewood, NY studio where the focus is on developing expertise in design through traditional techniques and processes.
Slightly Alabama uses a saddle stitch to assemble their pieces, products are sewn by hand with a single thread that has harness needles attached to either end, passing the needles back and forth through holes they hand punch. The result is a more elegant line of stitching and a product that is more durable than an item sewn with a machine.
